Gina serves as senior trademark counsel for Matheny Law, PLLC. She provides expert trademark consultation and training. She focuses on brand development, brand protection, and the management of brand portfolios for entrepreneurs and small to mid-size businesses. Gina previously served as Senior Trademark Attorney & Training Manager and Trademark Practice Manager at a global IP firm in Tempe, Arizona.

Gina offers expertise in federal trademark prosecution before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) where she spent over twenty years as an Attorney Advisor for trademarks. At the USPTO, Gina examined over an estimated 42,000 trademark applications. She represented the USPTO in arguments before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board with a 100 percent success rate. Gina is most proud of the two customer service awards she received from the USPTO, they demonstrate her commitment to excellence. She also served on special writing projects with the USPTO Office of Legal Policy, which contributed to her understanding and appreciation of trademark policy.

Gina holds a Juris Doctorate degree from the Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America in Washington D.C., and a B.A. in Political Science from the Catholic University of America. She is licensed to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, District of Columbia Court of Appeals, and the Maryland Court of Appeals.
